　　前言：

　　这是英国第一个主要关于中央美术学院跟中国美术学院的优秀师生的重要作品展，展出地点选择在位于伦敦著名艺术中心库克街（Cork Street）的库克画廊(The Gallery in Cork Street)，展出时间为2011年3月4号至3 月11号。这个展出是英国观众全面了解中国当代学院艺术真实实力的一个难得的机会， 并让他们对这个具有丰富文化的古国产生更加浓厚的兴趣。

　　文革后至1980年以来中国发生了巨大的变化，2000年也是中国新兴艺术的一个转折点，国家更加意识到了当代艺术在政治方面和在国际上的重要性。此时，中国的当代艺术已经突显出了它对中国艺术历史当中的重要性和它所具有的多种可能性。

　　在1980年早期，艺术家的创作灵感大多来自于政治运动，而当下的艺术家们的生活创作空间相对比较自由，这些卓越的艺术家们不需要像前辈们一样为了追求自我的艺术事业而流洋海外，而是选择生活工作在本国，与前辈们相比他们对于世界也更加自信，看世界的态度也更加成熟，他们更观注于自我的生活状态。他们的作品的灵感来源也不像以前那么单一， 而是来自生活的方方面面，同时作品中不但吸取了西方的写实主义的技法和表现主义的狂野去表达和反映当下中国的现实生活和一些社会问题，更值的关注的是作品中还融合了中国的许多传统文化在里面。
　　
　　Foreword: This is the first exhibition in the UK to present a comprehensive overview of a new development of the contemporary art in the China Central Academy of Fine Art and China Academy of Art and over the last 5 years will be view at The Gallery in Cork Street from March 4 through March 11. The exhibition brings to UK art from one of the world’s most dynamic and culturally sophisticated countries at a time of unprecedented interest in the country. 　　China had begun to open up to the West in the 1980s and Chinese art has undergone enormous changes after the Cultural Revolution to today， and 2000 marked the moment when China recognized the importance, politically, of contemporary art, and the power that contemporary culture could exercise on the international stage, signaling a radical shift in both the status of the artist. Now, the Chinese modern and contemporary art  shows their extraordinary importance in Chinese art history, and the possibilities open to them..
　　
　　In the early 1980s, the artists often inspired by political events, now predominantly  contemporary artists  are choosing to live and work in their native country, unlike many of the generation before them who had been forced to emigrate in order to pursue their artistic careers，they are moving towards a self-confidence and mature that stems from an understanding of the contemporary world, these artists seem less interested in politics and more concerned about their personal struggles and issues of identity. They adopted a style of social realism and Western techniques that combined both the evocative power and persuasive force of Expressionism with a realist depiction that could represent current social realities and issues, and their works also closely related to traditional Chinese culture. Their works ranges from comic book fantasy worlds to images of global fashion, rather than playing on the political themes

　　新学院派的绘画：这次在伦敦库克街画廊(The gallery in Cork Street)举办的主要来自由中国最高艺术学府艺术家们组成的群展是一次对中国学院派艺术家综合实力的一次最好的展示，也是启今为止在国外的一个最全面展示中国艺术动向的展出，同时也是在这个具有优良传统的画廊里的一个非常难得的了解中国最具权威的艺术家们的机会。这次展出主要包含了一些之前从未被展出过的新创作的作品，其中包含了绘画、雕塑、装置、摄影等，在这些具有激情的作品里诠释了这些艺术家的丰富的想象力和允沛的创造力。 从这展里面我们不但可以看到中国一些具有领导地位的艺术家的最新作品的，透过这些作品也能让我们去发现一个真实的中国。

　　这个展出由中央美术附中国际交流部和库克画廊联合举办，并由孙寅杰策划，艺术家主要来自上海和北京。他们具有很高的天赋值得社会对他们的肯定，这次的展出给这些杰出的中国艺术家们一个非常高的展示机会，让他们的作品可以被世界所关注。

　　当今世界艺术市场对中国艺术需求巨大，尽管在国际上面关于中国艺术家的展出层出不穷，但他们并不能非常准确的反映出中国当代艺术的实际价值，而这是在英国第一个主要展示中国当代艺术真实状态的展览，展示了从2005年以来在中国创作出的一些最有意思的一些重要作品。从这些毕业自中国最高艺术学府的艺术家们的优秀作品里，我们可以看到这个社会的变迁，也能看到这个民族在当下的一个真实状态。这些艺术家们不只是去制造艺术，他们是通过这些作品去营造一个能让我们用艺术的方式思考的氛围；一个能让我们能全新思考关于艺术形式的环境。

　　我们希望给中国艺术家创造出一个能展示自我的一个世界舞台，并且让人们去了解和熟悉这魅力实足的中国艺术，通过展示这些用不同媒介创造的不同主题的作品去激发人们学习艺术的兴趣。这个展出不仅仅给英国的观众去探索这个来自古老文化国度的艺术的多样性一个机会，同时也是一次让他们在这个当代画廊里去了解新媒体艺术的一个很好的机会，并使他们更容易的去了解并接纳中国当代艺术。
