Wind that does not smell like the deep Atlantic Ocean, Oh, autumn wind from Dye Lake! There, there is no cold current as found in the Atlantic, no creatures raising their heads above the surface of the water, piteously weeping at the moon —— walleyes, rock bass, rainbow trout, silver perches, and flounders … In the autumn wind from Dye Lake, there are no fathomless blue eyes, but the fragrance flows, smelling of chrysanthemum, bamboo shoots, and pine trees. Mountain brooks meander pleasantly, where silver carps, grass carps, other fish and frogs, play and laugh, full of noisy fun. Autumn wind from Dye Lake, Oh, Dye Lake! The wind blows you out of that autumn, the Dye Lake autumn. You looked just like the autumn Dye Lake, you smiled just like the autumn Dye Lake, upon the mirror-like water rippling gently. Rain drops hung on flowers, grass and trees, tears dripped down your cheeks, into the brook beside the lake. The colour of the maple leaves upon the surface matched the lipstick you wore. My autumn face rippled in the clear, pure water. I lingered, lost in the pinewoods of the silent mountain. Autumn wind from Dye Lake, Oh, Dye Lake!
